The concept of archetypes comes from psychology. Archetypes are universal images that are understandable to everyone, regardless of age, nationality and cultural background. The concept of an archetype was first proposed by Carl Gustav Jung, who developed the theory of archetypes.
Jung had many followers who developed this theory. One of them is Carol Pearson, professor, teacher, author of books about archetypes, the most famous of which is “The Hero Within.”
There are 12 archetypes in Pearson's typology, each with its own characteristics and symbolism:
Innocent — symbolizes optimism and faith in goodness. The child strives for happiness and peace, often looks at the world through rose-colored glasses and seeks acceptance.
Orphan — symbolizes universality and belonging to the general mass. He strives for closeness and involvement with others.
Warrior — embodies courage and the desire to achieve goals. He strives for perfection and is ready to overcome any difficulties on the way to his plans.
Seeker — symbolizes the desire for freedom and self-expression. The Seeker is in constant search of adventure and craves new experiences, values independence and autonomy.
Sage — personifies wisdom and knowledge. He wants to know the universe, shares his knowledge and helps others find the truth.
Jester — symbolizes humor and liveliness. He loves fun and joy, helps others relax, and is able to look at any difficulties with humor.
Creator — embodies creativity and innovation. He strives to create something new and unique, is inspired by art and new ideas.
Caregiver — personifies care and compassion. He sees his purpose in helping others, protecting and supporting those who need it.
Lover — symbolizes passion and the desire for beauty. The lover seeks intimacy and is able to see beauty in everything that surrounds him.
Destroyer — embodies a challenge to the foundations and a desire for change. He opposes outdated traditions and strives to change the world for the better.
Magician — represents transformation and mysticism. He seeks to understand the laws of the universe and uses his knowledge to transform reality. The Ruler - symbolizes power and control. He strives for order and stability, strives to create a solid structure and manage it.

All 12 archetypes are manifested in the human psyche, each to a different degree, which forms a unique set of personality traits in us.
Knowing which archetypes dominate helps you:

Archetypes manifest themselves in behavior, facial expressions, gestures, and other visual signals that others read subconsciously.
